Primary Election Results

On Thursday, October 23, 2008, Primary Election ballots for League Director, Office No. 6 (Detective Rank), were verified and counted. Listed on the Primary Election ballot were:

            Tom Anderson
            Gary Aspinall
            John Clark
            Tyler Izen

John Clark and Tyler Izen received the highest number of votes and will be included on the General Election ballot.

Additionally, the two candidates who filed for Office No. 9 (Lieutenant Rank) will also appear on the General Election ballot. They are:

            David Crew
            Brian Johnson (Incumbent)

In Office No. 1 (Police Officer Rank) only the Incumbent Director, Scott Rate, filed and, therefore, he was deemed reelected to another three-year term.

In Office No. 5 (Police Officer Rank) there was just one individual, Kristi Newton Sandoval, who filed. Kristi has been deemed elected and will take office on December 15, 2008.

In Office No. 7 (Sergeant Rank) only one individual filed, the Incumbent Director in that office, Paul M. Weber, and he was deemed reelected to another three-year term.

The Election Committee and Board of Directors congratulate these individuals and thank all those who participated in this year’s Primary Election.

General Election ballots will be mailed on Tuesday, November 4th. Be sure to look for yours and cast your vote! Postmark deadline for the General Election ballot is November 14th.
