The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), in cooperation with the Los Angeles City Personnel Department, will offer Women’s Job Fair and Recruitment Seminar focusing the spotlight on the amazing career opportunities available to women in the Los Angeles Police Department, Saturday, September 11 at the Ahmanson Recruit Training Center, 5651 West Manchester Avenue, Los Angeles, 90045 (near LAX) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The dynamic event will begin with an interactive panel discussion featuring several female members of the Los Angeles Department rank and file as well as members of the command staff speaking about life in the LAPD, career opportunities, test preparation and physical fitness. Candidates will have a chance to take the LAPD entrance examination at 11 a.m.

Demonstrations will highlight the physical fitness performance requirements necessary to be a successful candidate and the Candidate Assistance Program (CAP), designed to help candidates who have passed the LAPD written test to get into the best shape of their life so as to be ready for the rigors of the police academy and the job on the street.

The Women’s Job Fair and Recruitment Seminar provide community members an opportunity to meet with members of the Police Department and learn about the challenges and rewards of working in law enforcement.
