The Los Angeles City Council has approved a new labor contract between the City and the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), which represents more than 9,900 Los Angeles police officers from the rank of lieutenant and below. The Council vote follows ratification of the contract by the LAPPL membership, who overwhelmingly supported the deal.
