LAPD trailblazer Fanchon Blake passes away at 93

Los Angeles, May 5, 2015 — Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) President Craig Lally released the following statement regarding the passing of LAPD pioneer Fanchon Blake:

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Fanchon Blake. Fanchon was a trailblazer whose bravery and perseverance paved the way for women in the LAPD and around the world in law enforcement. We send our condolences to her family and friends, but rest assured that her legacy in our Department will live on forever.”
