Police are searching for three jewelry robbery suspects considered armed and dangerous.
According to the Los Angeles Police Dept., three African-American male suspects robbed a jewelry merchant in downtown L.A. on Oct. 13 at approximately 4 p.m.
The suspects allegedly entered a business building downtown near 6th and Hill streets. They separated and hid themselves while waiting for a jewelry merchant to arrive.
The first suspect attacked the jewelry merchant when he reached his office. The suspect threatened the merchant with a semiautomatic handgun. The suspect forced the merchant into the office, and the three suspects also entered the office.
The suspects allegedly tied up the merchant and robbed of merchandise and personal property.
The first suspect was described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 170-180 pounds, wearing a blue plaid shirt, blue jeans and a "distinctive hairline," according to the LAPD.
The second suspect was described as standing 6 feet tall, weighing about 150-160 pounds, wearing a white long-sleeved dress shirt, dark pants and sunglasses.
The third suspect was described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 175-190 pounds with a stocky build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark blue baseball cap, a dark long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
