A luncheon is scheduled for a veteran clerk who is retiring after working for the Los Angeles Police Department for more than six decades.

Marlene Greenfield was set to retire after 60 years and two months of service with LAPD, according to a statement released by the department.

Greenfield started with the department as a clerk typist, moving on to serve roles as the department's Senior Clerk Typist and a principal clerk at LAPD's Pacific Division Records, and served the most senior non-sworn position in the police department.

The luncheon is set for Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., with lunch being served at noon.
