Bodycam video shows deputies rescue woman from deadly house fire in La Cañada Flintridge

New bodycam video captured the heroic actions of Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies who rescued one of the victims in a deadly house fire in La Cañada Flintridge. Footage released by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department shows when a woman was swiftly pulled out from the blaze through a window on the second-story of a home.

4 suspects arrested in fatal shooting of 16-year-old boy in Pacoima

Four suspects - two adults and two juveniles - have been arrested in the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy and the wounding of another teenager in Pacoima, police announced Wednesday. The Los Angeles Police Department said the shooting happened in the San Fernando Gardens Housing development just after 7 p.m. on Jan. 8.

Taggers graffiti 27 stories of skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles

Taggers have graffitied what appears to be more than 25 stories of a downtown Los Angeles skyscraper that’s been sitting dormant for several years. Construction on Oceanwide Plaza, a $1 billion mixed-use retail and luxury apartments project with three towering unfinished structures, stalled in January 2019 after the Beijing-based developer lacked the funds to complete it, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Security breach at LAX after man runs onto tarmac

A man was in custody after sneaking out through a door of a plane and running out onto the runway of LAX. It happened at around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Footage from Airline Videos Live shows a group of law enforcement personnel cornering the man and detaining him the tarmac.

Carjackers crash into Audi, then take it at gunpoint on 170 Freeway

California Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding a motorist who was robbed of his vehicle at gunpoint on the 170 Freeway in the North Hollywood area. CHP officers were called to Magnolia Boulevard exit of the northbound freeway at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, when they learned three suspects allegedly collided intentionally into the victim’s AudiRS7, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.

Task force arrests 28-year-old connected to flash mob robbery at Nordstrom

A task force dedicated to fighting organized retail crime has tracked down one of the many suspects that hit a Nordstrom during a flash mob robbery last year. The task force, which consists of officers from all over Los Angeles County, arrested 28-year-old Travelle Hamblet in Lancaster on Jan. 31. Detectives found an unregistered handgun, an extended magazine, ammunition and about $4,500 while searching the area.

Suspected speed race ends in deadly hit-and-run in Canoga Park

Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 1:13 a.m. to Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Vanowen Street where they found the victim trapped inside his vehicle after colliding with an electricity pole, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The investigation revealed that both drivers appeared to be racing each other after a possible road rage incident. The cars were speeding down Topanga Canyon Boulevard when one vehicle crashed into the second vehicle, causing the victim's vehicle to collide with an electricity pole.

Teenager steals car, crashes into patrol unit during East LA pursuit

A teenager was arrested after they allegedly stole a car and led LA County deputies on a chase that eventually ended in a multi-vehicle crash. The chase began in the area of Mednick Blvd. and Gleason St. in East LA. Deputies say the 17-year-old boy allegedly stole a Kia and hit a deputy's car during the pursuit.
