Two men are wanted in the attack and rape of a teenage girl who was walking home from a festival this summer.

Around 7:00 p.m. on August 11, a teenage girl was walking home from a festival at Jim Gilliam Park when she noticed two men were following her and she ran, said Los Angeles Police Department officials.

Police say the first suspect caught the girl and grabbed her from behind, choking her while the second suspect fondled her breasts.

The second suspect then pushed the girl to the ground and raped her while the first suspect acted as a lookout.

The attack happened under a carport behind an apartment complex in the 4000 block of Coco Avenue, according to the LAPD.

The girl told officers that after she was sexually assaulted the other suspect also attempted to rape her, but she ran away before it could happen.

Police say both suspects chased the girl to her house, where she successfully hid from the men.

According to the LAPD, the first suspect is described only as an African American male.

The second suspect, who committed the rape, is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with black hair and brown eyes. He is described as having a black mole on his right shoulder and a tattoo of a circle with a star inside of it on his chest. He stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 185 pounds and was wearing a black T-shirt and blue "Dickies" pants at the time of the attack.

Police released a composite sketch of the second suspect based on information gathered from the victim.
