The Los Angeles Police Department's Santa Claus sleigh descended on the streets of Venice tonight to spread a little Christmas joy.
The sleigh was pulled by an LAPD SUV and escorted by two black-and-white cruisers flashing emergency lights and blaring Christmas carols from loudspeakers.
Children and their parents waited for the sleigh in the Oakwood and Walk Street neighborhoods. One by one, kids climbed aboard the sleigh and told Santa what they wanted.
The visit by the sleigh, from the Pacific Division station, is an annual tradition in the area.
