The Los Angeles Police Foundation will pull out all the stops this Saturday, Oct. 9, for its True Blue Gala benefiting the LAPD on the Event Deck at L.A. Live.

Individuals paid anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000 for tickets to the event, while corporate sponsors could choose from sponsorship packages ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.

What does $100,000 net these Platinum Star Sponsors? Ten tickets to the reception, the best seating in the house, an ad in the Tribute Journal and ten photo ops with Chief Charlie Beck. No word on what exactly a "VIP photo opportunity" entails, but let's hope it includes some zany outtakes.

The money from the event will go to support programs not provided for in the city budget, including counter-terrorism preparedness, technological advancements and youth programs. Previously, the funding has allowed the LAPD to eliminate its rape-kit backlog, and provided cell phone tracking equipment and support for the Juvenile Impact Program.
